First day of races concluded today in Dziwnow, Poland, where the 2020 Laser Europa Cup is being restarted after a long six months period out of the water due to the virus lockdown.
191 sailors from six countries (Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Lithuania, the Czech Republic and Sweden) are being part of the competition.
Day started with a 1 hour postponement due to lack of wind. Hard work for the RC with the up/down wind but finally managed to complete the first 3 races per fleet.
Kuba Rodziewicz POL (3-3-1), Jakub Wiedeheft POL (6-2-1) and Laura Tornow GER (2-3-2) are leading in the Laser Standard, Laser Radial and Laser 4.7 fleets respectively.
More races coming tomorrow so stay tune!
The event is co-organized by Dziwnów4Sailing and the West Pomeranian District Sailing Association. The honorary patronage was taken by the Polish Olympic Committee.
The next stop of this 2020 Laser Europa Cup will be in Attersee, Austria, from September 4-6. Entries are closing in Aug. 21st so register now here: https://eurilca.eu/event/event.php?id=199
