Solidarity Programme – Four years in a row

The fourth edition of our Solidarity Programme successfully concluded at the 2021 EurILCA 4.7 Youth European Championships in Travemünde, Germany. This is a programme where every year selected sailors from European countries with low participation on our main events are invited to join our main youth competition.

EurILCA’s Solidarity Programme was first released in 2018 during the Laser 4.7 Youth Europeans in Patras, Greece, and then subsequently repeated in 2019 and 2020at the Laser 4.7 Youth Europeans in Hyeres, France and Vilamoura, Portugal.

This programme is intended to help youth sailors from European countries with low participation to join our 4.7 Youth European championships. The Solidarity Programme is offering selected sailors with free entry fee, coach by Olympic sailors on the water and shore, and cloth sponsoring.

EurILCA’s Solidarity Programme’s is managed by Ms. Burcu Algon Giorgianni and sponsored by Rooster Sailing.

2022 Edition – How to apply – TBC

Our intention is to run a fifth Solidarity Programme’s edition during the next 2022 EurILCA 4.7 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy in Dziwnow, Poland, but we can’t tell for sure now. We’ll be publishing information about it as soon as possible on this webpage and our social networks so stay tuned.
