Laser 4.7 Worlds – European sailors rocking after day 5

European sailors have completely conquered now provisional podiums after day 5 in Nieuwpoort, Belgium, where 2017 Laser 4.7 Youth World Championships are being played.

2017 Laser 4.7 Youth World Championships – Day 5 – Provisional results

European girls are filling all first 9 places after 7 races in Belgium, headed now by our current European Laser 4.7 Youth champion Federica Cattarozzi ITA (8-1-5-5-2-1-1) with 15 points.

Giorgia Cingolani ITA (1-7-2-3-3-15-3) and Julia Buesselberg GER (1-5-4-1-3-34-7) holds 2nd and 3rd places with 19 and 21 units.

Giorgia is also leading U16 category, followed by Shai Kakon ISR (9-6-3-1-10-7-16) with 36 and 5th overall.

Ana Moncada ESP (3-2-4-12-31-2-2) is 4th overall with 25.

Places 6th to 9th for Matilda Nichols GBR (37 pt), Anabelle Westerhof NED (43 pt), Ilayda Veziroglu TUR (52 pt) and Laila Van der Meer NED (56 pt).

Boy’s provisional podium is fully filled by European sailors now after 8 races. Yilkan Timursah TUR (1-1-1-35-2-3-3-9) is leading with 20 points, closely followed by U16 leader Cesare Barabino ITA (1-1-7-1-8-2-2-56) and Sofiane Karim FRA (1-1-8-1-18-11-1-4) with 23 and 27 pt respectively.

Julian Hoffmann GER is now in 5th overall and 2nd U16 sailor with 55 points. Michal Krasodomski POL is 8th overall and 3rd U16 with 59.

Semen Mekhanikov RUS and Felix Baudet SUI are also performing great on 6th and 7th places overall with 55 and 56 points respectively.
