Complex day for sailors racing the 2017 Laser Senior European Championships in Barcelona. Final series has started today with two races, where overnight leading sailors managed to keep first spots but closely followed now by tough opponents. Japanese sailor Manami Doi JPN (3-6-14-1-5-1-2-4-18) had to finish in 9th place to secure Delta Lloyd Regatta’s gold medal. The tension was on when she was racing in the back of the fleet while her biggest opponent Marit Bouwmeester NED (5-1-20-11-3-18-1-1-2) was leading the fleet.
