Two first races were completed today in Barcelona, where the 2017 Laser Senior European Championships are being held.
All 331 Laser Standard and Radial sailors were sent to water around noon, divided in two courses.
First race started with about 10 knots and decreasing to 6-8 knots on second.
RC intended to start a third race but wind was just 4 knots then so all of fleets returned to shore with 2 races completed.

Laser Standard – Results after 2 races
Croatian sailor Tonci Stipanovic CRO (1-1) started event in great shape winning both Blue fleet races and leading Standards with perfect score.
Second is Giovanni Coccoluto ITA (2-1) with an also great performance in the Yellow fleet.
Third place for Andrew McKenzie NZL (2-2) escorting Stipanovic in both Blue fleet races.
Laser Radial Women – Results after 2 races
Marit Bouwmeester NED (2-2) is leading women’s competition with two 2nd places in the Yellow fleet.
Agata Barwinska POL (6-3) and Anne-Marie Rindom DEN (5-6) were the best in Blue fleet and holds 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
Laser Radial Men – Results after 2 races
Yam Lauber ISR (2-2) leads Radial Men’s championship after two 2nd places in the Red fleet. Also on Red fleet were sailing his followers Marcelo Cairo ESP (6-1) and Antonio Coronilla ESP (4-3).
