One more great day of sailing in Båstad, Sweden, where the 2018 Laser U21 European championships started their Final series.
Two new races were added to score, being 8 now in total. No major changes on top of fleets but many sailors on a bunch and fighting to be on podium.
2018 Laser U21 Europeans – Day 4 results
All first 7 places remains the same on Women’s championship, with Polish sailor Magdalena Kwasna POL (1-1-2-2-1-3-4-2) leading with 12 points, now followed just 1 point behind by Danish Anna Munch DEN (3-5-1-1-7-1-1-1), with perfect score today. Carolina Albano ITA (2-2-3-4-2-4-6-3) is still on third overall with 20 units.
Russian sailor Ekaterina Bereza RUS (5-3-5-5-3-7-3-4) is fourth and also close to leaders with 28 points.
Mariia Kislukhina RUS (4-4-4-3-9-8-12-8) holds fifth position with 40, followed just one point behind by Caroline Rosmo NOR (10-7-7-7-6-6-2-6).
Ekaterina Sanko BLR (9-12-12-6-8-2-14-29 UFD) is seventh overall with 63 units.
Kuba Rodziewicz POL (3-1-3-3-1-2-33 RET-1) extended gap to 8 points (14 vs. 22) over pursuer Max Wilken GER (8-1-1-1-3-5-12-3), but with a higher discard, so nothing is said. Third place is now for Turkish sailor Berkay Abay TUR (19-6-2-1-6-4-3-16), draw in 38 points with Under 19 leader Daniil Krutskikh RUS (9-2-9-3-4-1-10-12).
Ascendant Stipe Gaspic CRO (5-22-11-12-4-1-7-5) is now 5th overall, draw in 45 points with overnight third Joseph Mullan GBR (2-3-6-2-16-3-17-13).
Finish sailor Nooa Laukkanen FIN (6-13-1-22-6-9-8-9) is now 2nd U19, overtaking Aleksi Tapper FIN (9-5-2-4-11-33 DNF-13-10) by 2 points.
