Wonderful sailing conditions again on this second day of the 2019 Laser 4.7 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy in Hyeres, France.
A nice sunny sky and strong winds allowed two new races per fleet to be added on scores, being now four in total.

Italian sailor Alessia Palanti ITA (14-1-1-1) took the first overall position today after winning both races and leading now championship with 3 points.

Very close to her are Norwegian Hanna Katle Fjon NOR (48-1-2-2), Spanish Barbara Rodriguez ESP (35-2-2-2) and Cyprus Marilena Makri CYP (17-4-3-1) with 5, 6 and 8 points respectively.
On fifth place overall and first Under 16 is Polish Dominica Raszka POL (18-5-1-4) with 10.
Alexandra Lukoyanova RUS and Carlota Rizzardi ITA are 2nd and 3rd Under 16 and ranked 12th and 14th overall respectively.

Tighten competition we are having on top of ranking, with all first ten sailors scoring lower than 10 points after this four first races.
Dutch sailor Paul Hameeteman NED (2-1-1-1) is leading with 3 points after a perfect day on water, closely followed by Greek Georgios Papadakos GRE (1-2-5-1) with 4. Third place overall for Polish Przemyslaw Machowski POL (3-3-1-1), draw in 5 points with overnight leader Roko Stipanovic CRO (2-1-2-4).

Alexandros Papadimitriou GRE (3-2-2-2), Jordi Lladó Duran ESP (2-1-6-4), Jason Kefallonitis GRE (1-5-3-3), Niccolo Nordera ITA (2-1-5-9), Ricard Castellvi ESP (4-6-2-3) and Isidro Codoñer Alemany ESP (3-4-2-8) complete the provisional Top 10.
Turkish sailor Derin Baytur TUR (30-5-4-3) is now heading the Under 16 championship with 12 points, escorted by overnight leader Harvey Leigh GBR (9-2-13-3) and Lorenzo Predari ITA (10-12-3-18), with 14 and 25 units respectively.
