Venues for the 2028 ILCA European Championships decided

The venues for the 2028 ILCA European Championships were confirmed today following a review of proposals submitted by interested parties during the 2025 EurILCA Annual General Meeting in Malta.

Representatives from 21 European countries took part in the selection process. The exact dates for the championships will be announced in 2027.

Italy emerged as the clear winner of the day, securing the hosting rights for three of the five ILCA European Championships. The successful Italian proposals were presented by Giovanni Gallego and Claudio Fava, whose contributions were key to Italy’s strong showing in the selection process.

The selected venues are as follows:


2028 ILCA European Championships venues

  • 2028 ILCA 4 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy – Vigo, Spain.
  • 2028 ILCA 6 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy – Riva del Garda, Italy.
  • 2028 ILCA Under 21 European Championships & Open European Trophy – Crotone, Italy.
  • 2028 ILCA Senior European Championships & Open European Trophy – Cagliari, Italy.
  • 2028 ILCA Master European Championships – Puck, Poland.

2027 ILCA European Championships venues

In addition, all 2027 venues have been ratified at the meeting. Those are;

  • 2027 ILCA 4 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy – Carnac, France.
  • 2027 ILCA 6 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy – Alicante, Spain.
  • 2027 ILCA Under 21 European Championships & Open European Trophy – Athens, Greece.
  • 2027 ILCA Senior European Championships & Open European Trophy – Murcia, Spain.
  • 2027 ILCA Master European Championships – Saint Raphaël, France.

2026 ILCA European Championships venues and dates

All ILCA European Championships, except for the Masters, are restricted-entry, allocated championships. This means you must first apply for a place through the European Championships section here. The ILCA Masters European Championship, on the other hand, is an open event and can be entered on a first-come, first-served basis.
