Two new races were added to scores today at the 2018 Laser U21 European championships in Båstad, Sweden.
A nice course close to the city and chicken waiting for sailors after races enlightened our European event.
2018 Laser U21 Europeans – Day 2 results
Polish sailor Magdalena Kwasna POL (1-1-2-2) is still leading Women’s championship with 4 points, but now closely followed by today’s rocking Anna Munch DEN (3-5-1-1) with 5. Carolina Albano ITA (2-2-3-4) is third with 7 units. (BTW, happy 20th birthday Carolina!)
Mariia Kislukhina RUS (4-4-4-3) and Ekaterina Bereza RUS (5-3-5-5) are also close to leaders on fourth and fifth place overall with 11 and 13 points respectively.
Men’s championship had changed leadership instead, with today’s highlight Max Wilken GER (8-1-1-1) climbing from 5th to 1st spot overall with 3 units. Overnight leader Kuba Rodziewicz POL (3-1-3-3) is now second, draw in 7 points with British sailor Joseph Mullan GBR (2-3-6-2).
Maor Benharoch ISR (1-3-4-14) and Berkay Abay TUR are also close to top of ranking on fourth and fifth places overall with 8 and 9 points respectively.
Aleksi Tapper FIN (9-5-2-4) had a great performance today and surpassed Russian Daniil Krutskikh RUS (9-2-9-3) on top of U19 competition.
