The 2019 Laser Under 21 European Championships & Open European Trophy started today in Dziwnów, Poland, with sun and warm weather. After 3 hours waiting for wind, finally both scheduled races could be completed in the afternoon in light to medium conditions.
The Laser Radial championship is headed by Croatian Karmen Perkovic CRO (14-1) and German Hannah Anderssohn GER (2-13) draw in 15 points. Third place overall for Romanian Ebru Bolat ROU (7-10), sharing 17 points with Belarusian Ekaterina Sanko BLR (8-9). 63 sailors participate of this fleet.
The Laser Standard championship is led by French Alexandre Boite FRA (1-2) with 3 points, escorted by Greek Anastasios Panagiotidis GRE (2-6) and Russian Daniil Krutskikh RUS (6-3) with 8 and 9 units respectively.
Portuguese sailor Andre Granadeiro POR (7-4) is leading the Laser Standard U19 competition, ranked 5th overall with 11 points. Roko Copic CRO and Nico Naujock GER are second and third U19 sailors and ranked 9th and 10th overall (8th and 9th European) respectively. 136 sailors participate of this fleet.
