Two new races per fleet closed the 2017 Laser Europa Cup in Hvar, Croatia, where more than 100 sailors enjoyed of sailing.
After 6-7 races under different wind conditions, the overall winners were Roko Stipanovic CRO (6-4-1-1-1-6) in Laser 4.7, Stipe Gaspic CRO (1-1-1-1-4-3) in Laser Radial and Valeriy Kudrayashov UKR (2-2-1-2-3-2-2) in Laser Standard.
Roko was also winner of U16 category in the Laser 4.7 fleet, followed by Maria Giulia Cicchine ITA (7-9-5-2-3-3), finally women’s 4.7 champion, 2nd overall and 2nd U16. Third place overall and U16 for Attilio Borio ITA (4-10-2-5-10-7). Fourth place overall and first U18 for Matteo Terenzi ITA (2-3-3-18-15-8). Fifth overall and 2nd women’s place for Ursula Balas CRO (8-12-14-3-8-4).
Stipe was also winner of U19 category among the Laser Radials, followed by Federico Tocchi ITA (4-2-4-2-5-1) and Angela De Micheli ITA (6-7-5-17-1-4), first women’s Radial overall. Bruno Gaspic CRO (5-8-7-5-7-16) was first Radial U17 and 6th overall.
Mario Novak CRO (4-3-2-1-1-3-3) was finally second overall in the Laser Standard fleet. First Standard U19 and third overall was Ciro Basile ITA (3-6-3-9-6-4-1). Alec Cvinar CRO (5-4-5-6-2-5-5) was 5th overall and first Standard U21.
