European sailors leading Laser 4.7 Worlds in Belgium

Our young European sailors are rocking in Nieuwpoort, Belgium, occupying all first spots of 2017 Laser 4.7 Youth World Championships.

2017 Laser 4.7 Youth World Championships – Provisional results

European girls are now filling all first 8 spots of competition after 5 races in Belgium, headed by German Julia Buesselberg GER (1-5-4-1-3), draw in 9 points with U16 leader Giorgia Cingolani ITA (1-7-2-3-3).

Current European Laser 4.7 Youth champion Federica Cattarozzi ITA (8-1-5-5-2) is third with 13.

Places 4th to 6th are taken by Anabelle Westerhof NED (14 pt), Shai Kakon ISR (19 pt and 2nd U16) and Eline Verstraelen BEL (20 pt and 3rd U16).

Ana Moncada ESP (21 pt) and Ilayda Veziroglu TUR (27 pt) completes the Top 8.

Turkish sailor Yilkan Timursah TUR (1-1-1-35-2-3)  is heading boy’s fleet with 8 points after 6 races, closely followed by U16 leader Cesare Barabino ITA (1-1-7-1-8-2) with 12.

Sofiane Karim FRA (1-1-8-1-18-11), Felix Baudet SUI (5-7-9-16-1-1) and Niccolo Nordera ITA (2-35-13-2-5-2) are holding places 4th to 6th with 22, 23 and 24 points respectively. Nordera is also 2nd U16.

Matisse Pacaud FRA and Julio Jordan ESP are also among the Top 10 with 32 and 33 points respectively.
