The 2022 EurILCA Europa Cup GER concluded yesterday in Warnemunde, Germany.
Thunderstorms and heavy seas allowed only 3 races to be held during the 4 days of competition.
The local sailor Nik Aaron Willim GER was the winner in ILCA 7, followed by Valtteri Uusitalo FIN and Julian Hoffmann GER. 55 sailors were part of this fleet.
The Danish sailor Anna Munch DEN was first among the ILCA 6 Women’s, winning all 3 races held. Second and third place for Pia Kuhlmann GER and Molly Sacker GBR. 14 sailors were part of this competition.
The ILCA 6 Men’s podium was formed by Thorsten Wyk GER, Nicolaas van Nunen NED and Ewen Williams FRA. 16 boats were part of this championship.
The Czech sailors conquered the ILCA 4 Women’s podium in full, with Kristyna Flosmanova CZE winning all 3 races, and escorted by Helena Hyzova CZE and Linda Dokoupilova CZE. 19 were the competitors on this fleet.
Finally, the ILCA 4 Men’s had the 15-year-old Cyprus sailor Feodor Zoubovski CYP as the main champion, followed by the Swiss Ennio Turrin SUI and the Latvian Emils Amsils LAT. 36 boys participated of this championship.
This was the sixth EurILCA Europa Cup regatta in 2022. The 2022 EurILCA Europa Cup Trophy will move now to the Union Yacht Club Attersee in Austria, from 9-11 September 2022, for the 2022 EurILCA Europa Cup AUT. Entries for this event are open until August 19th.
