The first regatta of the 2024 EurILCA Master Series concluded today in Malta, organised by Royal Malta Yacht Club.
Throughout three days of competition, varied and challenging sailing conditions delighted all Master sailors.
Friday’s dismal weather with rain showers did not dampen spirits and Race Committee was able to fit in three races.
On Saturday a north westerly breeze hit the race course. A moderate swell proved to be challenging for the fleet but nonetheless were able to undertake three races.
On Sunday morning, a bright sun augured well, though the wind started to diminish as the morning wore on. A considerable wind-shift between the first and second race meant that the Race Committee had to make so much so that the Race Committee had to realign the course.
