Day 2 – Racing Gets Underway at the Europeans in Kaštela

After a challenging opening day with unstable wind, Day 2 of the 2026 ILCA Senior European Championships finally delivered a fantastic afternoon of racing in Kaštela.

Racing started at approximately 13:15 on both courses, with a steady 9–12 knots of breeze welcoming the sailors onto the racecourse.

Throughout the afternoon, winds remained stable between 9 and 13 knots, allowing the completion of the opening three races for the ILCA 7, ILCA 6 Women, and ILCA 6 Men fleets in spectacular sailing weather.

The consistent breeze and sunny skies provided a perfect setting for fair and competitive racing, giving sailors the opportunity to showcase their speed and consistency on the water.

After the first races of the championship, the provisional leaders in each fleet are as follows:

The event continues tomorrow with 3 scheduled races across the fleets, with the first warning signal set for 12:00.
