U21 Laser World Championships – Europeans leading after 8 races

European sailors continues to lead the 2017 Laser U21 World Championships in Nieuwpoort, Belgium, after 3 new races, counting now 8 in total.

U21 Laser World Championships – Girl’s results after 8 races

Mária Érdi HUN (1-10-1-2-1-31-1-1) had a bad first race yesterday but quickly recovered winning second and third races to keep Women’s Laser U21 World Championship leadership with 17 points, followed now by Hannah Anderssohn GER (10-6-18-1-2-1-7-3) with 30. Third place for current World Youth champion Dolores Moreira URU (9-3-7-5-13-2-3-8) with 37.

Magdalena Kwasna POL and Loiuse Cervera FRA are fourth and fifth with 43 and 46 points respectively. Mirthe Akkerman GER is also close with 49 units.

Recent European U21 medalists Aoife Hopkins IRL, Aisling Keller IRL and Clementine Thompson GBR are ranked 7th, 9th and 10th respectively. Anna Munch DEN is holding 8th position.

U21 Laser World Championships – Boy’s results after 8 races

Boy’s provisional podium continues to be the same as on recent European Laser U21 championships: Joel Rodriguez Perez ESP (1-3-2-1-1-1-BFD-1) leading competition with 10 points, closely followed by Jonatan Vadnai HUN (1-2-4-1-2-1-20-2) with 13. Third place for Daniel Whiteley GBR (6-1-6-3-1-24-3-3) with 23 units.

Philipp Loewe GER and Berkay Abay TUR are ranked 4th and fifth overall with 44 and 52 points respectively.

Places 7th to 9th for Max Wilken GER (54 pt), Jack Cookson GBR (55) and Gaston Morvan FRA (55).
