The 2019 Laser 4.7 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy concluded today in Hyeres, France.
After the last two races with light wind conditions, our new Overall and Under 16 European champions were finally crowned on water.
2019 Laser 4.7 Youth Europeans – Final results – Girls
Overnight fourth Alessia Palanti ITA (14-1-1-1-21-17-7-36-2-6-6-1) could finally climb to the first position after winning the last race, overtaking Ursula Balas CRO (2-11-6-14-7-16-1-3-6-8-5-24) for just 2 points and crowning 2019 Laser 4.7 Youth European champion. Alessia concluded this championships also being the girl with more races won (4 of 12). The third place overall was for Sara Savelli ITA (10-5-5-9-12-39-11-10-3-2-2-BFD).
Russian sailor Alexandra Lukoyanova RUS was finally the Under 16 European champion, finishing 8th overall and escorted on podium by Carlotta Rizzardi ITA (14th overall) and Lilly May Niezabitowska POL (15th overall).

Israeli sailor Yogev Alcalay ISR (17-12-1-15-7-1-11-1-6-3-RET-1) was finally the Overall and Under 16 Boy’s European champion, followed by Greek Georgios Papadakos GRE (1-2-5-1-6-15-8-RET-16-19-8-18) and Spanish Jordi Llado Duran ESP.
The second U16 place was for French Mathys Redouani FRA, finally 20th overall. Third U16 place for German Ole Schweckendiek GER on 24th place among 267 competitors.
