How to follow the 2022 EurILCA Senior Europeans in Hyeres

The 2022 EurILCA Senior European Championships & Open European Trophy are ready to start on Monday at Cercle d’Organisation du Yachting de Compétition Hyèrois (COYCH) in Hyeres, France.

More than 350 sailors from all around the World will fight during 6 days for the coveted European medals.

This is the second main event of the year for the class after the World championships held in May in Mexico (ILCA 7) and October in United States (ILCA 6).

Almost every of the top sailors will be attending the event, such as the reigning ILCA 7 World champion Jean Baptiste Bernaz FRA, the multiple times World Champion and Olympic champion Marit Bouwmeester NED, the reigning European champions Agata Barwinska POL and Michael Beckett GBR, or the reigning Olympic Gold Medalist Matthew Wearn AUS.

ILCA 7, ILCA 6 Women, ILCA 6 Men and ILCA 6 Men’s Under 21 will be the classes participating of the competition.

The first two days will be for registration and equipment inspection, followed by a Practice Race and the Welcome Ceremony. First races will come on Wednesday 16th, with the first warning signal at 11:00. You can check the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions for further information;

There will be two race courses on water: Race Course A for the two ILCA 6 Women and the ILCA 6 Men; and Race Course B for all three ILCA 7 fleets.
