Race day 2 results – 2022 EurILCA Europa Cup Spain

Second day of racing with fantastic sailing conditions here in Port de Pollença, Spain, where the sailors could enjoy of challenging big swell and winds varying from 18 knots in the beginning to 12 knots in the end. This way the 2022 EurILCA Europa Cup ESP counts with 6 races on scores for the ILCA 7 and ILCA 6 fleets, and 5 races for the ILCA 4.

ILCA 7 provisional results

Malayan sailor Khairulnizam Mohd Afendy MAS is comfortably leading the ILCA 7 cup with 5 points, after winning 5 of the 6 races held. On the second place comes the Norwegian Olai Hagland NOR, draw in 22 points with the U21 leader Michal Krasodomski POL. Agustín Vidal ARG from Argentina and the U19 leader Theodor Middelthon NOR come next with 23 units.

ILCA 6 provisional results

The ILCA 6 is the largest fleet with more than 80 boats and is led now by the Dutch sailor Maxim Jonker NED with 7 points, closely followed by the Hungarian Olympic representative Maria Erdi HUN with 9. The overnight leader Elena Boroveva CRO is third with 10. Very close to them come Charlotte Rose USA from the United States and the reigning 2021 ILCA 6 Women’s World champion Emma Plasschaert BEL with 11 and 12 points respectively. Cyprus Olympic representative Marilena Makri CYP is first among the U21 fleet and ranked 8th overall. German sailor Linda Hensel GER is first U19 on place 12th in the overall ranking.

ILCA 4 provisional results

The Spanish sailor Adriana Castro ESP is still on top of the ILCA 4 competition with 6 points, followed by Men’s leader Xavi Caldentey ESP with 8. The third place overall is now for Miguel Aguilar ESP with 12. Cyprus sailor Emilios Max Boeros CYP and the overnight third Xavier Garcia ESP come next with 14 and 15 units respectively.
