The Final series started today at the 2019 Laser 4.7 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy in Hyeres, France.

Nice weather with light to medium winds allowed three new races to be added to scores. Both Girls and Boys fleets has new leaders, and they are both from Spain.

2019 Laser 4.7 Youth Europeans – Day 4 results – Girls

The girls provisional podium has been completely renewed today, with Spanish Lara Himmes ESP at the top of competition with 38 points after a great 1-2-5 scored today. She’s followed by Croatian Ursula Balas CRO and Italian Maria Giulia Cicchine ITA, with 44 and 52 points respectively.

Girl’s U16 championship has also a new leader and that’s the Italian sailor Carlotta Rizzardi ITA with 81 points and ranked 8th overall. Second U16 place for overnight leader Alexandra Lukoyanova RUS with 91 and 11th overall. Third U16 place for Polish sailor Laura Szulc POL on 18th place overall with 106 units.

2019 Laser 4.7 Youth Europeans – Day 4 results – Boys

Spanish sailor Ricard Castellvi ESP is new Boy’s championship leader with 37 points, just one step in front of Greek Georgios Papadakos GRE with 38. Third place for one more Spanish sailor, Manuel Garcia Lorente ESP with 44.

In fourth place overall and first U16 is now Yogev Alcalay ISR with 48. Second U16 place for Spanish sailor Mariano Cebrian ESP with 96 and ranked 18th overall. Third U16 spot for German Ole Schweckendiek GER on 29th place overall and 111 units.
