Dziwnow, Poland – Report by the local organisation.
The second day of the regatta is behind us. Unfortunately, it cannot be said to have been a successful day. All because of the very weak wind (his strength was definitely insufficient for most of the day – in gusts of up to 5 knots).
Initially planned start at 11.00, was moved to 1 p.m., then another break was announced in the competition area. And when there were chances to play even one race, the area of the race came the storm cloud. The decision of the judges could therefore only be one – you have to go back to the port, especially that the weather forecast for the following hours it was going to be very unstable. We do not forget that safety is the most important thing.
Ultimately, none of the planned races took place. There were therefore no changes to the scoreboard. Tomorrow is the third, final day of the regatta, which – as the weather forecast initially shows – looks promising.
The event is co-organized by Dziwnów4Sailing and the West Pomeranian District Sailing Association. The honorary patronage was taken by the Polish Olympic Committee.
