Garda delivered splendid sailing conditions again on this second day of races at the 2022 EurILCA Europa Cup Italy, organised by Circolo Vela Torbole.
Two new races were added to scores for all 3 championships, with winds varying from 12 to 18 knots.
The class legend Robert Scheidt BRA continues to lead the ILCA 7 fleet with perfect score after winning all 4 races. The second place is now for the Under 21 leader Attilio Borio ITA with 12 points. Croatian sailor Alec Cvinar CRO is third with 13. Pietro Giacomoni ITA and Filippo Guerra ITA complete the U21 provisional podium in the 4th and 5th places overall respectively. 53 sailors participate of this championship.
The mixed ILCA 6 fleet is still governed by Antonio Pascali ITA with 3 points, followed by the Women’s leader Louise Cervera FRA, Mattia Cesana ITA and Mattia Santostefano ITA, all with 5 points. Close to them is the Ukranian sailor Oskar Madonich UKR with 7. Chiara Benini ITA and Silvia Zennaro ITA complete the Women’s provisional podium on places 9th and 10th overall. 213 sailors are being part of this fleet.
Nicolo Cassita ITA continues to lead both the overall and U16 ILCA 4 championships, draw in 3 points with Tedi Leonardelli CRO. Rayene El Haddadi ITA is third overall and second U16, sharing 6 points with Luca Centazzo ITA and Omer Vered Vilenchik ISR. Ginevra Caracciolo ITA is the girl’s leader in the 12th place overall, followed by Kristina Flosmanova CZE (14th) and Alenka Valencic SLO (18th). This is the largest fleet, with 245 sailors.
