Excitement is building as we get ready for the first-ever Team Racing European Championship in the ILCA class! 48 sailors from 9 countries are set to race across the waters of Athens, Greece, from December 3-7. Here’s how you can stay updated and follow the action:
Event Overview
12 teams from Bulgaria, France, Germany (1 & 2), Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Serbia (1 & 2), and Sweden (1 & 2) will compete in a Round-robin format, racing against each other in 66 races over the first three days! Then, the top 8 teams will advance to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.

The Plan
There will be 8 ILCA boats racing, so sailors will need to rotate in and out after each race. A 50-foot catamaran will also be anchored at the course for coaches and sailors to relax and watch the races from the water!
Sustainability Challenge
As part of our commitment to the environment, we’ll be hosting a Sustainability Challenge alongside the competition. The team showing the highest standards of environmental responsibility will be recognized with a special Sustainable Team Prize. Let’s make this event as green as it is exciting!
