Dutch sailor Marit Bouwmeester arrives to this 2017 Laser European Championships in Barcelona in a particular context, owing all current major Laser Women’s titles: the last European championship in Canarias in 2016, the last World Sailing championship in Santander in 2014, the Gold Olympic medal in Rio and recently her 3rd World championship in Medemblik.
So we asked her about her motivation from now on heading Tokyo 2020 and this was her answer;
After winning the Gold Olympic medal in Rio 2016, Marit had to change her coach and chose her brother Roelof. This is what she explained about this question;
