Hard weather conditions on day 2 for sailors participating of new Laser Europa Cup 2017 event in Warnemunde, Germany.
Laser Europa Cup GER – Day 2 results
After 4 races is local Theodor Bauer GER (2-3-1-1) who’s leading Laser Standard competition with 7 points, followed by Sergey Komissarov RUS, Jakub Rodziewicz POL and Elliot Merceron FRA, with 27, 29 and 29 units respectively. Young Polish sailor is also U21 provisional leader.
Women’s Radial podium is headed by Bronze Olympic sailor Anne-Marie Rindom DEN (1-1-1-1) with perfect score, followed by German sailors Hannah Anderssohn GER and Pia Kuhlmann GER, both of them 5 points behind.
Men’s Laser Radial fleet is led by Italian sailor Federico Tocchi ITA (1-2-3-2) with 5 points, closely followed by Russian Daniil Krutskikh RUS with 7. German Gregory Keizers GER completes provisional podium with 14 units.
Largest fleet on water (Radials were separated in two) are the Laser 4.7 young sailors fighting with hard Baltic sea conditions. Joshua Richner SUI (1-10-7-1) is overall and U16 provisional leader with 19 points, followed by Johan Schubert DEN with 20. Third overall and U18 leader is Christian Spodsberg DEN with 24. Eve McMahon IRL is placed 10th overall and leading Girl’s competition.
