Laser Europa Cup HUN concluded today in Balatonfüred with lot of fun but unfortunately only a few races.
Friday started with a nice opening ceremony but no suitable wind.
On Saturday sailors waited until the afternoon to go racing and finally they could complete some in very light conditions. After two races for the Laser Standard and a single race for the Laser Radial and 4.7, sailors were sent back to harbour due to darkness.
Finally on Sunday the wind stayed too light for racing so event concluded with scores achieved on previous day.
Laser Europa Cup HUN – Final results
Local sailor Vida Peter HUN was the winner in the Laser 4.7 fleet, escorted in podium by Italians Antonio Persico ITA and Niccolo Nordera ITA. Giorgia Cingolani ITA was first among girls and fifth overall.
Foreign sailors occupied the Laser Radial podium, led by Keith Luur EST. Second overall and first among woman was German sailor Julia Buesselberg GER. Third place for Francesco Viel ITA.
Finally the Laser Standard champion after 2 races was Ivan Zhukalin UKR (1-1) with perfect score, escorted by local sailor Jámbor Attila HUN (2-3) and Stanislav Mulko UKR (2-8).
