103 ILCA 7 and 134 ILCA 6 Master sailors have already entered the next 2022 EurILCA Master European Championships to be held at Club Nautic L’Escala in Spain, from October 7-13 2022, marking a record of participation for this event since 2014, when EurILCA was created. The Master’s fleet at the European Championships has doubled since then.
The entry closing date for this event is in September 6th, so there’s still time for any Master sailors aiming to join this big Master’s sailing party to do it by filling the application form.
Current 237 sailors registered will be representing 22 different nations, 16 of them from Europe.
In the ILCA 6 fleet, 21 of the 134 registrants are Women. And 11 of them are Legend (+75 years old). Grand Masters are currently the largest ILCA 6 fleet with 45 sailors, followed by Masters with 34. The country with more representatives in ILCA 6 is actually Spain with 30, followed by France with 29.
In the ILCA 7 fleet, the largest fleet is also the Grand Masters with 58 sailors, followed by the Masters with 23. Netherlands is actually the country registering more ILCA 7 participants with 25, followed by Spain with 14.
