The final day of racing started early in Kiel, in order to get the final 2 races completed ahead of the 30+kts winds being forecast.
Big shifts continued to be the theme of the week, this time in the strongest winds of the week.

Gold medal changed hands on the last races today at the Kieler Woche 2020, both on Standard and Radial competitions.

Local sailor Philipp Buhl GER was finally Men’s champion after scoring a 1-3 today, surpassing overnight leader Michael Beckett GBR (7-19), who finished third. Silver medal was also for Great Britain, with Elliot Hanson GBR wrapping championship with a 5-2. 80 sailors competed on this fleet.

Danish sailor Anne Marie Rindom DEN (4-3) was finally the Gold medalist among Women’s, overcoming previous leader Marit Bouwmeester NED (9-20) by only 2 points. Bronze for Mari Erdi HUN 2-6. 46 sailors participated of this competition.

Sailors will prepare now for the main event this year, the 2020 Senior European Championships that will take place in Gdansk, Poland, from Oct. 6-13.
