The third day of racing concluded today at the 2025 ILCA 6 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy in Vilamoura, Portugal, marking the end of the Qualification Series.
The day began with a westerly breeze of around 10 knots, which later increased to 20 knots –22 knots in the gusts– before gradually easing to 12-14 knots during the last races.
It was a long but rewarding day on the water, with all four fleets successfully completing the full schedule of six qualification races before returning to shore.
Tomorrow marks the start of the Final series, where sailors will be split into Gold, Silver, Bronze and Emerald fleets through to the end of the competition on Saturday, when the new 2025 ILCA 6 Youth European champions will be crowned.
