2017 Laser Worlds – Day 2 results
Pavlos Kontides CYP (1-1-1) got his third win in a row today and continues to lead championship with 3 points, followed now by Sam Meech NZL (1-4-2) with 7.
Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA (2-2-7) drops to 4th place with 11.
Third place for Sergey Komissarov RUS (1-6-3) with 10.
Elliot Hanson GBR (2-10-1) got his first bullet today and climbs to 5th position with 13, draw in points with Australian Matthew Wearn AUS (9-3-1). Just one point behind appear Philipp Buhl GER (10-1-3) and Giovanni Coccoluto ITA (3-2-9) with 14, all of them with a great perspective facing the first discard.
Local favorite Tonci Stipanovic CRO (17-1-4) is also improving positions (14th) and looks forward to discard.
2015 and 2016 Laser World champion Nick Thompson GBR (3-5-8) is 9th, followed 1 point behind by colleague Lorenzo Chiavarini GBR (2-3-12) in 10th.
Yuri Hummel NED (8-6-3), Michael Beckett GBR (5-7-6) and Jesper Stalheim SWE (10-4-5) are also close with 17, 18 and 19 points respectively, in places 11th to 13th.
