The last 2018 Laser Europa Cup event concluded today in Hvar, Croatia. After two days without sailing due to lack of wind, the last day provided 25-30 knots with one race added to scores, being finally three in total.
2018 Laser Europa Cup Croatia – Final results
The Laser 4.7 first spot was for local sailor Roko Stipanovic CRO (4-1-1) with 6 points, escorted on podium by first U16 sailor Aku Koivistoinen FIN (3-3-7) and second U16 Antun Tomasevic CRO (6-4-4). Women’s championship and fourth place overall for Nika Manestar CRO (8-5-3), followed by Ursula Balas CRO (7-13-2) on fifth.
Sandra Lulic CRO (4-2-2) was finally the overall champion among the Laser Radial fleet, followed by Men’s and U19 winner Lukasz Machowski POL (3-7-1) on second and Roko Copic CRO (7-4-5) on third. Second women’s place for previous leader Karmen Perkovic CRO (5-1-19) finally ranked 4th overall. Ukranian sailor Maksym Kyslytsyn UKR (2-11-15) was first U17 and sixth overall.
The Laser Standard championship was for Ukrainian Ivan Zhukalin UKR (5-1-3), escorted by local U21 sailors Dominik Percovic CRO (1-9-1) and Stipe Gaspic CRO (6-2-5). Uffe Tomasgaard NOR (4-8-2) was fourth overall and first U19 sailor.
