2018 Laser U21 Europeans – Day 5 results
Polish sailor Magdalena Kwasna POL (1-1-2-2-1-3-4-2-5) is showing an awesome consistent performance and continues to lead Women’s championship with 16 points, closely followed by Danish Anna Munch DEN (3-5-1-1-7-1-1-1-10) and Italian Carolina Albano ITA (2-2-3-4-2-4-6-3-7), with 20 and 26 units respectively.
Russian sailor Ekaterina Bereza RUS (5-3-5-5-3-7-3-4-15) is still on fourth overall but further than yesterday, with 35 points.
Great day for Caroline Rosmo NOR (10-7-7-7-6-6-2-6-1) winning the race, raising now the fifth place overall and closer to the podium spots with 42 points. Great day also for Mariia Kislukhina RUS (4-4-4-3-9-8-12-8-4) and Ekaterina Sanko BLR (9-12-12-6-8-2-14-29 UFD-2) on 6th and 7th places overall and closer to the sailors on top.
Men’s competition is still led by Kuba Rodziewicz POL (3-1-3-3-1-2-33 RET-1-3) with 17 points, now 10 ahead of German Max Wilken GER (8-1-1-1-3-5-12-3-5) with 27.
Russian sailor Daniil Krutskikh RUS (9-2-9-3-4-1-10-12-1) won the single race today and climbed to the third place overall, also securing the Under 19 first spot, so Congrats Champion!!
Berkay Abay TUR (19-6-2-1-6-4-3-16-9) is fourth overall with 47 points. Joseph Mullan GBR (2-3-6-2-16-3-17-13-11) is fifth with 56.
Fight for the 2nd U19 place continues, with Finish sailors Aleksi Tapper FIN (9-5-2-4-11-33 DNF-13-10-15) and Nooa Laukkanen FIN (6-13-1-22-6-9-8-9-33 UFD) overtaking each other, now separated by 5 points.
