Last day of competition with two new races added to scores to crown our new 2019 Laser Under 21 European Championships & Open European Trophy champions in Dziwnów, Poland.
2019 Laser Under 21 Europeans – Final results
In the Laser Standard class, Greek Anastasios Panagiotidis GRE and Israeli Maor Benharoch ISR couldn’t arrive more tighten to this final instance, both sharing 39 points in the top of ranking. Finally a 14-15 for Anastasios and a 17-16 for Maor made the Greek sailor to be crowned new 2019 Laser Under 21 European champion with 68 points, while Israeli sailor won the Silver medal with 72. Bronze European medal for Greek Dimitris Papadimitriou GRE with 91. Bronze Trophy medal for Vishnu Saravanan IND with 83.
The U19 European Gold medal was for German sailor Nico Naujock GER with 177 points and finally ranked 11th overall, escorted by also German Philip Walkenbach GER with 193 (14th overall) and French Alexandre Kowalski FRA with 237 (24th overall).
The U19 European Trophy Gold medal was for Thai Arthit Romanyk THA, finishing 8th overall with 154 units.
In the Laser Radial class it was finally our now 2019 multi-champion Ana Moncada ESP (Read also “2019 Laser Radial Youth Europeans – Final results”) who won the Gold medal, rounding her best performance today with an impressive 2-1 on score and obtaining the first spot only at the end of the competition, concluding the championship with 80 points.
The Silver medal for Belarus sailor Ekaterina Sanko BLR with 87 points (7-11 today). Bronze medal for German Julia Buesselberg GER with 104 (23-10 today). Unfortunately not a good day for overnight leader Valeriya Lomatchenko RUS (53-35) dropping to 7th place overall with 138 units.
