The first day of races at the 2024 ILCA Master European Championships wrapped up today in Vilamoura, Portugal, under challenging sailing conditions.
The weather fluctuated between rain and sunshine, with light winds persisting throughout the afternoon, resulting in only one race being completed on each course. Those were the ILCA 7 Apprentice Master and Master fleets racing together in the Alpha course, plus the ILCA 6 Legends fleet in Bravo’s. Their results were as per follows;

This record-breaking event is attracting 313 registered sailors from a wide range of countries, making it the largest edition in the championship’s history.
The plan for the second day of races tomorrow is the following;
- 11:00 Coaches & sailors meeting
- 13:00 First possible warning signal for ILCA 7
- 13:30 First possible warning signal for ILCA 6
