After four days of competitive racing, the 2026 EurILCA Europa Cup ESP came to a close today in Los Alcázares, Spain. As the second stop of the 2026 EurILCA Europa Cup Trophy, the event now hands over to its next venue in Constanța, Romania, scheduled for May 7.
Final-day conditions offered a dynamic but ultimately steady sailing environment. The wind opened at around 10 knots and gradually strengthened throughout the afternoon, settling between 13 and 15 knots for the second race and holding in that range through the finish.
Racing got underway on time at approximately 12:00, although several general recalls were recorded across the fleets—most notably during the second race of the ILCA 4 Men’s Silver group.
Wind direction showed a gentle left shift over the course of the day, moving from approximately 060° to 040°. While the opening race featured some variability in pressure, the second race brought more stable conditions, allowing sailors to perform with greater consistency.
With the conclusion of today’s racing, the championship completed its full schedule, delivering solid and reliable wind conditions overall.
The regatta concluded with the prize-giving ceremony at 18:00, where the top performers in each class were recognized:
