Up to 263 sailors over 30 years will be competing for the European Championship of this individual dinghy sailing modality.
The fleet will have representatives from 26 European countries, but also from other parts of the world such as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Morocco, the United States and Canada. Among them, up to 11 participants over 75 years old and 21 women, which confirms that the sport of sailing does not understand age or gender.
All of them will sail distributed in two regatta areas located in front of the L’Escala and Empúries, which will allow the spectacle to be enjoyed from the town’s seacoast. To welcome them with all the guarantees, both in its sports and social program, the European ILCA Master organization will consist of more than 60 people.
The Club Nàutic l’Escala organizes the 2022 EurILCA Master European Championships after being selected by EurILCA (ILCA European Region) last April.
