Final results – 2021 EurILCA 4.7 Youth European Championships

With medium to strong wind conditions varying from 8 to 28 knots in the gusts concluded today the 2021 EurILCA 4.7 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy in Travemunde, Germany.

376 sailors participated of this event during 6 days of competition, 8 days in total. The championships were organised as part of Travemünde Week.

Girl’s championships

Overnight leader Annemijn Algra NED scored her best performance today with a 1-3 and secured the 2021 EurILCA 4.7 Youth Girl’s championship title with 34 points.

The Silver medal was for Emma Mattivi ITA, who also showed a great and consistent sailing this days wrapping the championship with 41 points.

The Bronze medal was for Spanish sailor Claudia Adan Lledo ESP with 73.


Petra Marendic CRO, Gabriela Groenewegen GRE, Helena Jaksic CRO, Giorgia Bonalana ITA and Alenka Valencic SLO were 4th to 8th overall respecrtively.

Maria Vittoria Arseni ITA was crowned the 2021 4.7 Youth Girl’s Under 16 champion on the 9th place overall.

Greek sailor Varvara Portolou GRE completed the top 10.

Aleksandra Borucka POL and Annelie Friis Jensen DEN escorted Maria Vittoria on Girl’s U16 podium.


Boy’s championships

Overnight leader Athanasios Kyfidis GRE scored a 2-1 today to round a great performance along the week and secured the 2021 EurILCA 4.7 Youth Boy’s Gold medal with 36 points, with a 37 gap distance from second Massimiliano Antoniazzi ITA, finally Silver with 73.

But the good news didn’t end there for the Greek team, with Alexandros Eleftheriadis GRE winning the Boy’s Under 16 Gold medal and Bronze overall with 75.

Joan Ravie ESP, Tymoteusz Wysocki POL and Iason Valiadis GRE finished on 4th to 6th places overall.

Luka Zabukovec SLO and Nicolo Cassitta ITA were Silver and Bronze Under 16 finishing 7th and 8th overall.

Viktor Kateliev ESP and Davide Nuccorini ITA completed the overall Top 10 ranking.
