The 2025 EurILCA Europa Cup Trophy kicked off this weekend with the first regatta of the year in Bodrum, Turkey.
Hosted by Bodrum Spor Yelken, the event welcomed 118 sailors from 10 European countries competing in the ILCA 4, ILCA 6, and ILCA 7 classes.
Over four days of competition, all eight scheduled races were successfully completed across all fleets. The championship began on Thursday without any races due to a lack of wind. However, Friday and Saturday provided excellent sailing conditions, with a steady breeze of 11-15 knots enabling three races each day. The best was saved for the final day on Sunday, when, despite a forecast predicting light winds, a strong 15-18 knot breeze from the southeast filled the race courses, allowing for two more races to complete the program.
