Race day 5 of the 2022 EurILCA Under 21 European Championships & Open European Trophy was marked by a heavy rain, cold weather and winds of around 12-15 knots during the whole competition.
This way the event counts with 10 results now on scores for both the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 fleets.
The day started as per scheduled with all the sailors launching their boats at 10:00. The first warning signal was given at 11:00 for the ILCA 6 but 2 general recalls made the sequence to be delayed. The ILCA 7 Gold and Silver fleets started right after them on the same course.
The event is organised by Club Voile Hourtin Medoc, with the support of the Municipality of Hourtin.
