Record of entries for the next 2023 ILCA Senior Europeans in Italy

Applications for the upcoming 2023 ILCA Senior European Championships & Open European Trophy closed yesterday with a record of 380 entries representing 49 countries –35 of them European–.

The ILCA 7 and ILCA 6 Men fleets have been fully filled during the application process, while there are still 3 places left for late registrations in ILCA 6 Women. Late application form here.

ILCA 7 entries

ILCA 7 will be the largest fleet with 195 sailors representing 30 European +12 non-European countries, including the reigning Senior European champion Pavlos Kontydes, the reigning World champion Jean Baptiste Bernaz FRA and the reigning Olympic Gold medalist Matthew Wearn AUS.

Italy (27), Spain (16) and Germany (12) will be the countries with the more representatives in this fleet.

ILCA 6 Women entries

Both ILCA 7 and ILCA 6 Women are Olympic classes so these 2023 European Championships are particularly important for them considering there’s only 1 year to go for Paris 2024.

117 ILCA 6 Women sailors representing 40 countries –31 of them European– have confirmed their participation, including the reigning Senior European champion Agata Barwinska POL, and the reigning World champion and Olympic Gold medalist Anne-Marie Rindom DEN.

Italy (18), Spain (13) and Germany (10) will be the more represented countries.

ILCA 6 Men entries

68 will be the ILCA 6 Men sailors in these 2023 Senior Europeans in Italy, all of them coming from 15 European nations. The locals will be the largest team with 22 representatives, followed by Spain (14) and Ukraine (6).
