The Final Series got underway in perfect conditions at the 2026 ILCA 4 Youth European Championships in Los Alcázares, Spain, where sunshine, small waves and steady winds of 8 to 12 knots set the stage for a full day of racing. With all races completed on schedule, the competition intensified as the standings evolved after eight races.
Challenging, shifty conditions reshaped the leaderboard as qualifying ended at the 2026 ILCA 4 Youth Europeans in Los Alcázares, with Eleni Triantou and Stefanos Samaras emerging as overall leaders ahead of the Final Series.
Day 2 of the 2026 ILCA 4 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy in Los Alcázares delivered consistent racing conditions, with all fleets completing two races in 9–13 knots, bringing the total to four races completed.

The 2026 ILCA 4 Youth European Championships will bring together 438 young sailors in Los Alcázares, Murcia, from 11–18 April, making it the second-largest edition in the event’s history. Hosted at the CAR Región de Murcia and raced on the Mar Menor, the championship will feature a strong international fleet, including reigning world champion Blanca Ferrando Babe and many of Europe’s top emerging talents.
EurILCA has revealed the 2026 Solidarity Programme Team, bringing together young sailors from countries with emerging ILCA participation to compete at the ILCA 4 Youth European Championships in Los Alcázares, Murcia. With expert coaching and full support from EurILCA, these talented athletes will gain invaluable experience on an international stage.
Registration is now open for coaches and support boats participating in the 2026 ILCA 4 Youth European Championships & Open European Trophy, set to take place in Los Alcazares, Murcia, Spain, from 11-18 April 2026.
Applications are open for the 2026 EurILCA Solidarity Programme, offering free entry fees, coaching, and clothing sponsorship for youth sailors from countries with low participation in the ILCA 4 Youth European Championships in Murcia, Spain.
