Two weeks to go for the 2019 Laser Under 21 European Championships & Open European Trophy in Dziwnów, Poland, and we’re happy to announce it will be record of participation!
+210 sailors from 40 nations (32 of them European) will fight for the Laser Radial U21 (Women) and Laser Standard U21 (Men) medals at Marina Dziwnow, from August 20th to 27th.
Most crowded Under 21 European championships until today were 2014 edition in Torbole, Italy, with 179 sailors, followed by 2016 edition in Split, Croatia, with 140.
Recent 2019 Laser Radial Youth World champion Matilda Nicholls GBR will be one of 70 girls competing for the Radial U21 European title. Eve McMahon IRL –Bronze medalist on that championship– will be also part of contest. Other World and European champions on the Start line will be the Italian Federica Cattarozzi ITA and Matilda Talluri ITA, Polish Wiktoria Golebiowska POL and Marcelina Korszon POL, German Hannah Anderssohn GER and Spanish Ana Moncada ESP.
The Laser Standard U21 competition will also count with World and European champions within the +140 sailors registered, such as Greek Dimitris Papadimitriou GRE and Pandelis Kyrpoglou GRE, Russian Daniil Krutskikh RUS or Spanish Marcelo Cairo ESP.
The Laser Standard U19 European title will be also at stake, with 55 Under 19 sailors registered.
